Membership Requirements
Although we began as a credit union exclusively for employees and family members of the Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad, over the years we expanded to include other employer groups such as Greenville Steel Car, Hodge Foundry, and Greenville Hospital. In 2005, we expanded our charter to the entire Mercer County Community. Persons who live, work, do business in, worship, or attend school in Mercer County, Pennsylvania are encouraged to “SWITCH” to Switch Federal Credit Union.
Join Switch FCU
To join the credit union, simply come by our office and let us complete your membership application, or fill out the online form below if you would like additional information.
There are no fees for membership. The initial minimum deposit is $50 in a Share Account. This deposit establishes ownership in the credit union and makes you eligible for all the other benefits and services we provide. Don’t forget, your immediate family is welcome to join as well.
Once you have joined our credit union, you just need to maintain the $50 minimum balance in your regular savings account. It is not a fee but is required to maintain your membership. This will enable you to take advantage of all the benefits of membership.
As an owner, you can show your support by taking advantage of everything we have to offer: from free checking to low-rate credit cards and loans, individual retirement accounts, and budget-friendly estate planning.
Once a member, always a member. Your membership is not canceled if you move away.
